Help Stop Dead Zones In The Chesapeake Bay. Protect our Bay from the Harmful Pactices of Factory Farming.

About

The Chesapeake Bay, which spans six states including Maryland, is experiencing a huge loss in its fish population due to lack of oxygen known as, “dead zones.” Nitrogen pollution from factory farming is primarily to blame for this occurrence. These farms located along the Chesapeake dump millions of pounds a year into the bay. The dumping isn’t only causing harm to fish, but to residents as well. In 2008, a Maryland town’s water supply was shut off for two months due to an accidental manure spill.
